C loves to use the glue gun and she also loves to play with crafts sticks, she has made multiple things over the years with both, so she was very interested when I mentioned using the 2 together so she could show me how many letters she could make out of them. She was able to make A, E, F, H, I, K, L, M, T, V, X, and Z which is pretty good considering some of the letters can’t be made with straight craft sticks, I love that she was able to practice her letters, and motor skills, while having fun at the same time 🙂
Bonus all you need is craft sticks and a glue gun!
If your munchkins are anything like my munchkins then you have a stash of rocks somewhere in or around your house. We have both lol. I had been trying to figure out a way to use some of them when I came along this post Rock Monsters on pinterest. Bingo this was perfect. I got out the paint, paint supplies, googly eyes, sharpie, and the hot glue gun, told the munchkins to grab some of their rocks and we got started:
First we set up our work space and then they painted their rocks, some solid, some polka dotted, some multicolored(paint was acrylic)
Next we hot glued the googly eyes on, I may or may not have hot glued one to my hand 😉
Then it was time to add the teeth, we used a white paint pen and a sharpie for this part but you could also use regular paint.
And finally we gave all of our rock friends names:
The munchkins had such a good time making these, and then playing with them after. They created an outlet for a lot of imaginary play and that always makes me a super happy momma
What would you name your rock friend?
